Experience

Lexi's experience as a writer began in her early teens when she wrote several espionage-themed books. Though they went unpublished, her passion continued throughout high school and into college, where she studied Non-fiction Creative Writing. From her travel to Italy throughout her childhood and after a life-changing semester abroad in Australia, she wrote several pieces for her senior thesis that revolved around the intersection of travel and cultural exploration, both of other cultures and one's own. After living overseas for graduate school and working at the UN for two years, she and her partner decided to become digital nomads, traveling the world together across Europe, South America, and Asia, which she writes about on her travel blog, Crossing Oceans. She has since been freelance writing for travel marketing agencies and blogs and, since joining Traveler Blog in late 2022, has written more than 100 travel-themed articles.

Education

Lexi studied Non-fiction Creative Writing at the University of Redlands, where she graduated with honors. Lexi also studied at the American University of Rome in Italy for an MA in Sustainable Food Studies.
